An autistic teen hopes to increase acceptance and understanding of those with autism through his book, "How to Talk to an Autistic Kid," which explains autism and its symptoms in easy-to-understand terms.

How to Talk to an Autistic Kid

Fourteen-year-old author Daniel Stefanski describes what it's like to have autism and how to be a good friend to someone who is autistic in How to Talk to an Autistic Kid. Stefanski (pictured on the cover) honestly discusses why sometimes children on the spectrum might talk too loud or stand too close, and he encourages readers to stick up for them if they're being bullied. A must-read for classmates, parents, and siblings. The book is available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com (Free Spirit Publishing; $12.99).
